Plesner Patterns is a Norwegian design studio that makes surface patterns for textile, wallpaper, foil, tiles and perforated aluminum. The designs are inspired by small, everyday events - seemingly unimportant moments that exist within the Scandinavian experience and nature. The patterns are made with craftsmanship and manual playful methods, such as the use of ink, moss and clay before the patterns are digitalised and printed. This creates a distinctive expression that has a sense of time and ‘soul’, and leaves layers and traces of a journey.
All patterns can be custom made to specific colour schemes and different material qualities, with as much of the production process undertaken in a sustainable fashion as possible.
